The night was peaceful, with only the soft rustling of the curtains and the occasional murmur of their baby girl in her crib. Bella lay nestled in Vidyut's strong arms, feeling the warmth of his body enveloping her like a protective shield. She sighed, nuzzling closer to his chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat.

Vidyut pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead, his fingers lazily tracing patterns along her back. “Bella,” he whispered, his voice deep and filled with affection. “I’ve been thinking about something.”

Bella smiled against his skin. “Hmm? What is it?”

He hesitated for a moment before speaking. “Your studies. You were doing your MBBS before... everything happened. You should consider finishing it.”

Bella stiffened slightly, pulling back to look into his eyes. “Vidyut, I... I don’t know if I can.”

He cupped her face gently, his eyes filled with nothing but love and encouragement. “Why not? You were so close to becoming a doctor, Bella. I know how much it meant to you.”

A lump formed in her throat. “It did,” she admitted softly. “But then I chose this path. I chose to carry our child, to be with you. And now... my priorities have changed.”

Vidyut smiled, brushing a loose strand of hair behind her ear. “I know they have. And I love you for it. But, sweetheart, I don't want you to give up on something that you worked so hard for. You have a gift, Bella, and the world needs doctors like you.”

Bella's eyes welled up with tears. “And what about our daughter? She needs me too.”

Vidyut placed a hand gently over her belly, where their baby once grew, and now rested beside them in her crib. “And she always will. But imagine how proud she'll be one day when she sees her mom saving lives, being the strong and brilliant woman I fell in love with.”

Bella swallowed hard, the thought filling her with both excitement and fear. “It’s just... it’s been so long, Vidyut. What if I’ve forgotten everything? What if I can’t do it anymore?”

He kissed the tip of her nose, his voice unwavering. “Then we’ll take it one step at a time. I’ll help you with the baby, I’ll support you in every way I can. You’re not alone in this, Bella.”

She let out a shaky breath, resting her forehead against his. “You really believe in me that much?”

Vidyut chuckled softly, his thumb caressing her cheek. “Bella, I believe in you more than you believe in yourself. I’ve seen your strength, your dedication. You were born to heal people.”

A tear slipped down her cheek, and Vidyut wiped it away gently. “I miss it,” she confessed in a whisper. “I miss wearing my coat, holding a stethoscope, feeling like I’m making a difference.”

Vidyut smiled. “Then let’s bring that feeling back.”

Bella chuckled through her tears. “You make everything sound so easy.”

He grinned. “Because when you have love and support, anything is possible.”

She sighed, pressing a soft kiss to his lips. “Thank you, Vidyut. For always pushing me towards my dreams.”

He held her close, resting his chin on the top of her head. “Always, my love. And no matter what happens, I’ll always be right here beside you.”

As Bella closed her eyes, feeling the weight of her dreams stirring once again, she knew she could take the first step—because Vidyut was her strength, her home, and her greatest cheerleader.

That night, in his arms, she let hope bloom anew in her heart.

The next morning, Bella woke up to the soft cooing of Princess Rose, her tiny hands waving in the air as she lay in her crib. Bella smiled, stretching as the sunlight streamed through the curtains. Vidyut stirred beside her, his arm draped protectively over her waist.

“Good morning,” she whispered, brushing her lips against his cheek.

Vidyut opened his eyes, a lazy smile spreading across his face. “Good morning, love,” he murmured, pulling her closer. “How are my girls today?”

Bella chuckled, resting her head on his chest. “Your little princess is ready to take on the world,” she said, gazing fondly at their daughter. “And I... I’m ready to take the first step towards my dreams.”

Vidyut’s eyes lit up with pride. “That’s my Bella,” he said, pressing a kiss to her forehead. “You’re going to be amazing.”

After freshening up, Bella sat in front of the mirror, combing through her thick locks when Vidyut appeared behind her with a cup of tea. “Here,” he said, placing it on the table. “Fuel for my future doctor.”

Bella laughed softly, sipping the warm tea. “It feels surreal,” she admitted. “Going back to my studies after everything... I don’t know how I’ll manage.”

Vidyut knelt beside her, taking her hand in his. “One step at a time, Bella. You’re not alone in this.”

After breakfast, Vidyut surprised Bella with a neatly arranged study space in their home library. Medical textbooks, notes, and her old lab coat were laid out, waiting for her.

Tears welled up in Bella’s eyes as she turned to him. “You did all this for me?”

Vidyut smiled, his hands resting on her shoulders. “I want you to have everything you need to succeed.”

With determination in her heart, Bella picked up her stethoscope, running her fingers over it with nostalgia. “I’m ready,” she whispered.

Throughout the day, Vidyut took care of Princess Rose, letting Bella dive deep into her studies. Occasionally, he would peek into the room, watching her scribble notes furiously, a familiar spark returning to her eyes.

By evening, Bella stretched, feeling the exhaustion creeping in. Vidyut walked in, holding their baby girl. “How’s my doctor doing?” he teased.

Bella smiled, reaching for her daughter. “Tired, but happy,” she admitted. “I didn’t realize how much I missed this.”

Vidyut kissed her forehead. “I knew you would. And don’t worry about anything else. I’ll always have your back.”

Later that night, as they lay in bed, Bella snuggled closer to Vidyut, resting her head on his chest. “Today felt like a dream,” she murmured.

He kissed the top of her head. “It’s only the beginning, Bella. And I’ll be here, cheering you on every step of the way.”

Bella closed her eyes, feeling safe and loved. With Vidyut by her side, she knew she could balance both motherhood and her dreams.

A month of relentless preparation had passed, and Bella sat on the couch with trembling hands, staring at the email on her phone. The words seemed to blur in front of her eyes as her heartbeat quickened.

"Congratulations! You have successfully cleared the entrance exam for residency."

Tears welled up in her eyes, and she let out a choked sob of relief. Vidyut, who had been watching her from across the room, rushed to her side. “Bella? What happened?” he asked, concern evident in his voice.

She looked up at him, her lips quivering with emotion. “I did it, Vidyut,” she whispered. “I passed.”

For a moment, Vidyut just stared at her before breaking into the widest grin she had ever seen. “You did it!” He scooped her up in his arms, spinning her around carefully. “I knew you would, my love. I’m so proud of you!”

Their little Princess Rose, resting in her crib, babbled at their excitement. Bella laughed, wiping her tears. “I couldn’t have done it without you,” she said, hugging him tightly.

The following weeks flew by in a whirlwind of preparations. Vidyut ensured everything was in place for Bella’s new journey—her hospital essentials, her daily routine, and even organizing baby care schedules with his mother so Bella could focus on her work.

And then, the day arrived.

Bella’s First Day as a Junior Resident Doctor Intern.

Dressed in her pristine white coat with her ID badge clipped on, Bella stood in front of the mirror, her hands trembling slightly. She ran her fingers over the fabric, her reflection staring back at her with a mix of excitement and anxiety.

Vidyut came up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist and resting his chin on her shoulder. “You look perfect, Dr. Bella Rathore,” he murmured, his lips brushing against her ear. “Are you ready?”

She leaned back against him, sighing. “I think so. It just feels... surreal.”

Vidyut turned her to face him, placing a gentle kiss on her forehead. “You’ve got this. Just remember, you’re not alone. I’m always here, and so is our little princess.”

Bella smiled, a surge of confidence washing over her. “Thank you, Vidyut. For everything.”

Before leaving, Bella kissed their sleeping daughter on the forehead. “Mommy will be back soon, sweetheart.”

As she stepped into the hospital, the familiar scent of antiseptic and the bustling energy of doctors and nurses filled the air. Her heart pounded in her chest as she walked through the corridors, memories of her medical school days flooding back.

She met her senior resident, Dr. Mehta, a stern yet kind woman who welcomed her to the team. “You’ll be working in the emergency ward today, Dr. Bella. Are you ready?”

Bella took a deep breath and nodded. “Yes, ma’am.”

Throughout the day, she attended to patients with urgency and care, her hands steady despite the nervousness bubbling inside her. She assisted in minor procedures, handled paperwork, and learned the intricate dynamics of the hospital.

During a short break, Bella pulled out her phone and found a message from Vidyut.

"How’s my brilliant doctor doing? Don’t forget to eat. I love you."

A smile spread across her face, and she quickly replied.

"Busy but good. Miss you both. Love you too."

Back at home, Vidyut was pacing the living room with Princess Rose in his arms, checking the time every few minutes. His mother chuckled. “Relax, Vidyut. Bella will be fine.”

“I know,” he sighed, pressing a kiss to his daughter's forehead. “I just want her to come home and tell me everything.”

By the time Bella returned home, exhaustion clung to her bones, but her heart felt light. As soon as she stepped in, Vidyut engulfed her in a warm hug, Princess Rose giggling in his arms.

“How was it?” he asked eagerly.

Bella leaned into his embrace, sighing with contentment. “It was... amazing. Exhausting, but amazing.”

Vidyut led her to the couch, making her sit while he massaged her feet. “I’m so proud of you, Bella,” he said softly. “Our little princess has a superhero for a mom.”

Bella smiled through her exhaustion, looking at her daughter. “And she has the best dad in the world.”

Later that night, as Bella lay in bed with Vidyut by her side, she whispered, “I think I can do this, Vidyut. I can be a mother and a doctor.”

He held her close, his voice filled with pride. “You can do anything, Bella. And I’ll always be right here to remind you of that.”

Bella fell asleep with a content smile, knowing that this was just the beginning of her journey—one she was ready to embrace with all her heart.
